Members

Research in the laboratory focuses on the mechanisms that promote the differentiation of T lymphocyte subsets and the mechanisms that regulate the immunological responses of T cells. We are interested in strategies to manipulate these responses in clinically relevant areas such as autoimmunity with an emphasis on neurological diseases such as multiple sclerosis and autism.  Recent studies have focused on studying the differentiation and regulation of human Th17 cells and the cells regulating pathogenic Th17 responses as this subset may play a role in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis and autism.
