The Yang Lab seeks to develop next-generation therapies for chronic and infectious diseases using innovative systems and synthetic biology approaches. Research in the lab bring together high-throughput experimentation, predictive network modeling, and machine learning activities to advance mechanistic understanding into cellular and disease processes. Current projects in the lab focus on antimicrobial resistance, tuberculosis disease pathogenesis, and macrophage polarization. The long-term goal of these efforts is to develop platforms for enabling host-directed therapies for infectious disease and engineered immune cell therapies for chronic disease.
